OK, let’s get real – how much weight can a person expect to lose when working with you?
10 pounds in 30 days – if they’re committed to a jump start. It’s truly nothing short of miraculous how much weight the body sheds when it’s getting what it needs.
I teach women to nourish and care for themselves in a way that their body doesn’t want to hold on to the fat. When your body is getting the nourishment it needs (and it’s not getting filled with fake chemicals and pesticides), the fat just comes off.
With your 10 in 30 Program, this program is tailored to _________________?
Busy women who are sick and tired of carrying around the extra weight. Women who are frustrated from trying a new diet every Monday morning and giving it up by Wednesday because it’s boring, unrealistic and hard to stick with.
How realistic is it for people to keep the weight off?
10 in 30 is designed not just for weight loss, but also to prepare women for long-term weight management and better health. They will learn in great detail how to live thin for the rest of their life.
How? Habits change over the course of a couple of weeks. By doing an intense 30 day program and living clean and healthy for that month, new skinny habits will develop.
What truly happens is that you start to feel so freaking good – and you don’t want to go back. You’ll happily make healthy food choices and carve out time for exercise because it makes you feel so good – and look great!
Eating healthy and exercise doesn’t have to be grueling punishment and an attempt to get skinny. Instead it’s something to connect you to yourself and feel alive within your body.
What would you say to women who have tried every diet and failed?
I know it’s frustrating, but you haven’t tried everything. You haven’t worked with me. My Programs are meant to be disruptive. They will go against a lot of what you’ve been told. That’s because the vast majority of conventional nutritionists and doctors have it mostly wrong when it comes to weight loss. Let’s face it – if their advice were good and doable, we would all be thin and healthy by now.
Most programs don’t address your thoughts and emotions. Yet, thoughts and emotions are the biggest factor when it comes to weight loss success – more so than exercise and eating. Weight loss starts with the thoughts in your head. I teach clients how to change that nasty little voice in their head from being their worst critic to being their biggest fan.
The result of this is that you actually want to eat healthier and exercise because you love your body – not because you hate it.
Fact or Fiction – I have to give up my evening glass of vino or cocktail to lose weight?
Hell no. I love wine myself. It just has to be factored into your overall plan.
Is watching what you eat enough or does a woman have to purchase a new workout wardrobe too?
Thinking thin, eating healthy and moving your body doesn’t require a whole lot of money. You don’t have to have the fanciest blender on the market or the most chic pair of $150 yoga pants. However, let’s face it – new clothes make you feel good! So if you need some inspiration to move your body, a hot new workout outfit can certainly help get you off the sofa.
Do you recommend vitamins, supplements and recipes to follow? And, can your clients shop at a regular grocery store or do they have to hit up all the “specialty” stores?
I’m not a huge fan of vitamins and supplements because they confuse the heck out of most people and I’m all about keeping it simple. In the spirit of keeping it simple, yes I provide my clients with every resource they need – including easy-to-prepare recipes with simple ingredients.
My clients never get a recipe from me that requires them to shop at four different specialty stores for an ingredient list that includes 20 items. Health and weight loss has gotten overly complicated and confusing – it doesn’t have to be.
In fact, the more basic you keep it, the better. For example, a rockin’ weight loss meal would be a plate filled with grilled chicken or fish (and grilled veggies). You don’t even need recipe for that!
Oh lord no! I grew up on government cheese, white bread and the cheapest hot dogs from our small town grocery store. In college I ate every fat-free cookie and can of Diet Coke I could find. In my 20’s I may have been the Midwest’s biggest consumer of curly fries.
Then I had some health problems and cured myself through food. I’ve been drinking green juice and taking really care of myself ever since.
